Pole Dance Game Rules
Pretty Shape is a captivating card game that combines the graceful movements of pole dancing with the strategy and fun of board games . In this game, your goal is to become a pole dancing legend by performing combos of acrobatic tricks and accumulating the most points. Whether you are a novice or an experienced player, here is a detailed guide to the rules of the game .
Setting Up the Game
- Shuffle the Cards : Start by shuffling all the cards and placing them in a draw pile in the center of the table.
- Remove Unknown Figures : If some players do not know how to perform certain figures , you can remove these cards to adjust the game to their level.
- Starting Hand : Each player must always have 6 cards in their hand.
How a Tour Works
Each round is divided into three main stages: dealing , planning , and solving .
1. Distribution
At the start of each round, all players must complete their hand to have 6 cards again.
2. Planning
- Each player must choose three "Face" cards to form a combo and show them to the other players. They must then try to complete the combo.
- Other players can play Bonus or Penalty cards according to the specific rules of each card.
Examples of Bonus and Penalty Cards:
- Bonus Card: Double Glam - Double the points of your next combo if it succeeds. If it fails, the bonus card returns to the deck and is shuffled.
- Penalty Card: I choose your combo - An opposing player chooses the 3 cards of the next combo you must perform.
3. Resolution
Once the combo is announced and performed, the other players vote to determine success or failure.
- Success: If you successfully execute the combo, you can discard the corresponding cards and score the points indicated on them.
- Failure: If the combo fails, you must return the cards to the draw pile, which will then be shuffled .
4. End of the Tour
At the end of each round, each player draws the number of cards needed to complete their hand to 6 cards. Play continues until the draw pile is exhausted.
Bonus & Penalty Cards
Bonus and Penalty cards add spice to each round by changing the rules of the game in your favor or putting your opponents at a disadvantage.
Bonus Cards (to be played at the start of your turn):
- Magic Swap: Choose a face-up card from the face-up deck and swap it with one of your hand cards. You cannot draw a bonus card during this swap.
- Double Glam: Double the points of your next combo if it succeeds. If it fails, the card returns to the shuffled deck.
Penalty Cards (to be played at the start of the opponent's turn):
- You pass your turn: The targeted player skips a turn.
- I choose your combo: You choose the 3 cards of your opponent's next combo from the draw pile.
Penalty Cards (to be played at the end of the opponent's turn):
- Half Measure: Halve the points of your opponent's successful combo.
End of the Game
The game ends when the deck is exhausted . Each player then uses their remaining cards to form and complete one final combo. At this point, it is possible to try to complete all the remaining tricks at once to maximize points.
Add up the points accumulated throughout the game to determine the winner .
